If I could snap my fingers and change one thing about 2008 it would be ... not investing more money in our old and busted "Green Machine", a 1996 Green Taurus station wagon.

In 2009 I plan to … learn the djembe, finish translating the book of Genesis, and get a sailboat.

Something interesting about me is ... in High School I want to retire by 30, move to Northern Scotland and be a hermit. What was I thinking?

Right now I am reading … "Emotionally Healthy Spirituality" by Pete Scazzaro, "The Majesty of God in the Old Testament" by Walt Kaiser Jr., "Jesus wants to save Christians" by Rob Bell, and "The Christian Tradition: A History of the Development of Doctrine" by Jaroslav Pelikan.

Most exotic food I have eaten is ... fresh Pineapple in Hanalei on Kauai in Hawaii.

If given the choice, the one thing I would never taste again would be … lima beans, they are squirmy, green and a bean.

If I were given all the needed talents and abilities, I would be the lead singer of … Aerosmith. His tongue is shorter than mine! =p

The one box set that I would take with me on a desert island to watch would be ... The Lord of the Rings.

The one box set that I would take with me on a desert island to listen to would be ... Pink Floyd, The Wall. Is this really a box set though?

What is the most memorable quote you have heard or read recently? “We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality; tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. As long as there is poverty in this world, no man can be totally rich even if he has a billion dollars. As long as diseases are rampant and millions of people cannot expect to live more than twenty or thirty years, no man can be totally healthy, even if he just got a clean bill of health from the finest clinic in America. Strangely enough, I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. You can never be what you ought to be until I am what I ought to be. This is the way the world is made." - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in The American Dream
